Blue and Gold

Last night was Mitchell's blue and gold cub packmeeting. They had a father/sons cake decorating contest. Matt took the challange to heart and him and Mitchell made this cake yesterday! It turned out great.
Mitchell had a slow start with scouts because for 4 months he had football practice at the same time and so he missed a lot of activities. He has been working hard to get caught up and is doing great.

Matt's birthday/Update on Us

Matt had his 35th birthday the other day! We did the usually family party. Harry and Grant had fun helping him open his gifts. It was a nice, fun day and Matt humored us by letting us celebrate his birthday.

Harry is loving the Wii! He amazing me how good he is at it.Grant loves to just hang out with his brothers and watch them play. For a few days Harry seemed so tired and grumpy and I couldn't figure out what was wrong with him. Finally I found out that Mitchell was coming downstairs and waking Harry up at 6 in the morning so that they would play Wii together. Now Mitchell is naturally my morning person so it is an everyday occurrence for him to be up that early. But Harry is NOT. We had to put an end to that quickly.

Paige has been working hard on the quilt she is making. She loves to have projects to keep her busy. It's looking great so far!

The other day she told her teacher that she memorized a song with all the states and capitals in it (which is what 5th grade is working on right now).

Her teacher asked her if she would like to sing it for the class and she did! It is a REALLY long song!

The teacher thought she did so great that she called up the other 5 grade teachers and asked if Paige could come to their class and sing it for them. So Paige went to all the other 5th grade classes and got up in front of the classrooms and sang the song for each them. Everyone has told me she did a great job and she had so much fun doing it!

Beach

We spent the day at the beach today with Mimi and Papa. It was a little chilly but the kids had fun. We were going to go camping this weekend but Papa hurt his had really bad this last week so we had to cancel that. We had a lot of fun on the way home playing Slug-bug, Bingo and PoPo.

Happy Birthday Harry!

Harry turned 5 years old today! Poor guy had to share his birthday with the Superbowl! He was so excited for his birthday this year. I made him a batman cake (I swear The Cake Boss is going to call any day now to hire me....j/k). It was nice to have so much family around for his birthday. Harry is really growing up and out of that little phase. He is working hard at becoming more independent and is so excited to be starting kindergarten this summer!

Paige's Birtday

Paige had a fun 11th birthday. I can't believe she is that old. I made her a Little House on the Prairie cake. She is OBSESSED with LHotP!!! She got new fabric to make a quilt for her bed, LHotP Broadway tickets and a new hiking back back from Mimi and Papa. We love Paige so much especially her care free nature and willingness to always help out. Happy Birthday Paige!
